I was watching the presidential campaign debates this week, and I was reminded of this week’s Sunday teaching. Watching the candidates jab one another, and every once in a while make a scathing remark reminded me “that’s politics”, America’s favorite pastime. You expect this kind of verbal banter from politicians, but what if a group of pastors got on TV and ran ads, and made abusing remarks about one another. That is exactly what is happening in the first century of Matthew 23. We’re going to take a closer look this week, and things are going to get a little hot. Don’t miss it.
